Adze Icon

Using Adze

When you open a GPX document using Adze, you will be presented with a window like the following:

The main view displays the tracks. On the left are the track list and statistics views, and at the top is a toolbar with shortcuts to various tools

Panning, Zooming and Editing

Adze is in edit mode by default. This means that when you click the mouse, it will modify the selection, add a point, or perform some other editing operation. Most tools allow the use of the Shift, Option or Command keys to modify their operation. For example, you can hold Shift while using one of the selection tools to extend the current selection.

To pan the map, hold Space and drag the map with your mouse. To zoom in and out, use the scroll wheel of your mouse, swipe your trackpad, or click the Zoom In/Zoom Out buttons in the toolbar. You can also hold Space and double click a point on the map to zoom in on that position.

Selecting and Moving Points

See this guide to learn how to select and move points

Hiding and Showing Tracks

The View menu provides options for hiding the selected or unselected tracks and for unhiding tracks. You can also right-click tracks in the track list to hide or unhide them.

If you use the track list to select a track that has been hidden, it will be drawn transparently until you deselect it in the track list.
